Audit and Evaluation Reports
Each year, the Office of Audit and Evaluation (OAE) conducts a series of internal audits and evaluations. Reports are then prepared which present findings on strengths and weaknesses, along with recommendations for remedial measures which are to be implemented in a timely manner.
These reports provide senior managers of the department with assurance regarding the economy, effectiveness and efficiency of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) programs, policies, and services, as well as the accuracy of the information reported to central agencies and Parliament. The ultimate goal of audits and evaluations is to improve AAFC management capacity and program delivery.
